Management Team

	John Fleet Asset Director Before joining Northgate in 1998, John was Managing Director of Arriva Vehicle Rental subsequently acquired by Northgate in 2006. With over 30 years experience in the vehicle rental industry John has developed Northgate’s vehicle disposal business into one of the largest used commercial vehicle suppliers in the UK.

	Gareth Jones Sales Director Gareth joined the Northgate Group in 1996 working within the sales function both at local and national levels. Prior to this appointment as Sales Director in 2006, Gareth was a managing director of two hire companies.

	Chris Muir Finance Director Chris qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Deloitte and Touche and was appointed as Group Accountant to the Northgate Group in 2003. In May 2004 Chris took up the position of Group Financial Controller and was appointed to the UK management team as Finance Director in 2006.

	Simon Ridley Regional Operations Director (North) Appointed to the UK management team in 2005, Simon has over 17 years experience within the vehicle rental industry. He has held various operational roles within Northgate and has most recently successfully expanded the range of fleet service products including fleet management, vehicle monitoring and fleet insurance.

	Jonathan Smith IT Director Appointed as IT Director on 1st February 2010, Jonathan has over 15 years IT experience across Financial Services, Public Sector and IT and Business Services. Having provided successful IT and business solutions to Fleet, Rental Companies, Motor Manufacturers and Insurers whilst previously at RAC Plc, Jonathan brings relevant operational experience to the IT role.

	Charles Starr Regional Operations Director (South) Having joined the UK Management team in July 2010, Charles has over 20 years experience in the vehicle rental and contract hire industry. Prior to his recent appointment, Charles spent three years as Regional General Manager with GE Capital (TLS) and for the previous 17 years was with Ryder PLC, latterly as Regional Director for the North. Charles brings a wealth of Operational Management experience to his current role.
